March 19 - June 15, 2024: “Baskets Naturally” - a Columbia Basin Basketry Guild exhibit

I have a couple small basket pieces in the exhibit “Baskets Naturally”; a show which features the work of members of the Columbia Basin Basketry Guild. The show focuses on baskets that use foraged and natural materials. Works range from functional vessels to experimental pieces, and include pieces made of willow, wool, cattails, and other natural materials. Location: Multnomah Arts Center (7688 SW Capitol Hwy, Portland, OR). Date & Time: March 19 - June 15, 2024. Friday-Saturday: 9am-5pm. Monday-Thursday: 9am-9:30pm. Cost: Free

April 24, 2024: Oregon Library Associations’ Presenter & Performer Fair

I will be one of 40+ vendors at the the Oregon Library Association’s Presenter & Performer Fair. I’ve been teaching continuing education arts and craft classes at the local libraries in the area for the last 10+ years, and I’m excited to connect with new library staff around the state at this event! Location: Salem Convention Center, Salem, OR. Date & Time: Wednesday, April 24, 2024; 1:30pm-4:30pm.

June 22, 2024: Fishtail Family Fair

I will be a vendor, tabling at the annual Fishtail Family Fun Day - a sweet community event in my home state of Montana. I will have cards, prints, and original art for sale at the one-day event. Location: Fishtail, MT (35 W Main St, Fishtail, MT). Date & Time: Saturday, June 22, 2024; 8am-4pm. Cost: Free to attend.

June 27, 2024: Beginning Quilling (Paper Curling) for Teens

Learn basic quilling techniques in this craft class. Beginners and all skill levels welcome; this class is geared towards teens. Location: Hood River Library (502 State St, Hood River , OR). Date & Time: Saturday, June 27, 2024; 3-4:30pm. Cost: Free, but students must register beforehand via phone or in-person at the library; registration will open in May, 2024. Class size is limited.

December 21, 2024: Beginning Watercolor Workshop

Learn basic watercolor techniques in this class, while painting foliage on card-sized paper. In this 2-hour introductory workshop we will learn about different types of: brushes, paper, and other painting supplies. We will do a series of exercises to warm up. We’ll finish class with a step-by-step painting of foliage. In addition to learning skills, we will briefly talk about the history of watercolor as one of the earliest ways of recording history and illustrating stories. Beginners and all skill levels welcome. Location: Oak Lodge Public Library (16201 SE McLoughlin Blvd, Oak Grove, OR). Date & Time: Saturday, Dec 21, 2024; 2-4pm. Cost: Free, but students must register beforehand via phone or in-person at the library; registration will open in November, 2024. Class size is limited to 16.
